IMPORTANT COVID-19 NOTICES

Our office is now open to public. In-person permit counter service hours are Monday - Friday, 10am-3pm. For in-person service outside of the daily hours, an appointment is required.   To get in touch with us please call 408-255-2137 or send an email to plans@csd2-3.org.

We know you’re working hard to keep yourselves healthy during COVID19 Shelter-in-Place. Help us keep our sewers healthy as well. Remember to never flush wipes, paper towels, or tissues because they clog our pipes!

With so many people home all day now, there’s a lot of more water going down the sewer drain! Make sure to can the grease.  Pouring household grease down the drain is a major problem for us.  Our crews are working hard 24/7 to keep our systems up and running.

With the shortage of toilet paper, there is a greater potential to use wipes. Just remember: Save your sewer pipes!  No matter what the label says, don’t flush them –place them in the trash instead.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER SERVICE CHARGE RATE INCREASE May 21, 2024

A public hearing to consider the proposed rate increase will be conducted by the County Sanitation District#2-3 (CSD2-3) Board of Directors on May 21, 2024, commencing at 9:30 am in the Board Meeting Chambers located at 70 West Hedding Street, San Jose, CA 95110.

The hearing will be made available to the public via virtual teleconference, a link to which will be posted on the CSD2-3 website. At the hearing, the Board will hear and consider all protests and objections concerning the proposed rates and will consider and may adopt the adjusted rates.

Under Proposition 218, the owner of record for a parcel(s) that is subjected to the proposed rate increase may submit a written protest against the proposed rate increase to CSD2-3 at or before the time set for public hearing. If you wish to oppose the proposed rate adjustments, to be considered your protest must be submitted in writing, contain a description of the parcel, be signed, and must be received prior to the close of the hearing. The best means of identifying the parcel(s) is by the Assessor's Parcel Number (APN). If a majority of affected parcel owners submit written protests, the proposed rate increase will not go into effect. Written protests are accepted by mail to the Clerk of the Board of Directors, CSD2-3, 70 West Hedding Street, San Jose, CA 95110 or in person at the public hearing on the date and time specified. 

If you disire any additional information concerning the proposed rate increase, please contact CSD2-3 at 408-255-2137. If the Board approves the proposed rate the the May 21, 2024 hearing, new rates will be included in the Sewer Service Charge collected with the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Tax Roll. Prior to the public hearing, two Public Meeting Workshops will be held to discuss the need for the rate increases.  the meeting will be held on May 14 at 1:00 pm, and May 16, 2024 at 6:00 pm via Zoom. 2020-2021 District Capital Improvement Project Update as of 2-25-2021

New sanitary sewer mainline has been installed via directional drilling on Ridgeview Way.

FY2020-2021 District Capital Improvement Project Update as of 1-27-2021

The contractor has begun performing sewer repairs via the traditional open trench method throughout the District. The District also performed survey staking for the two new sanitary sewer mains on Ridgeview Way and Chula Vista Avenue.

FY2020-2021 District Capital Improvement Project Update 

The District Capital Improvement Project for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 began on January 11, 2021. The project consists of sewer mainline rehabilitation using Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) and traditional open trenching methods. 13 Locations have been repaired via CIPP. This project will increase the resiliency of your neighborhood’s sanitary sewer system and will help prevent sewer overflows and spills.
 

 

SMP (Sewer System Management Plan)

The District has updated the SSMP and the certification is scheduled at the Board of Supervisors meeting on March 12, 2019.  Click here for the SSMP.
