County Sanitation District No. 2-3 supplies sanitary sewer services to unincorporated Alum Rock area and Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose. Services provided include:

District sewer lateral maintenance
District sewer lateral repairs
District sewer lateral replacement
Property line clean-out inspections
Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) emergency response 24/7

Sewer Service Rates

Current residential sewer service charges are as follows:


Residential – per unit Single Family/Townhouse/Condo unit	$738.16/Year $61.52/Month
Multiple Residential – per unit Duplex/Apartment unit	$415.44/Year $34.62/Month
Separate mobile home within a mobile home premises	$416.88/Year $34.74/Month
Church Premise	$738.16/Year $61.52/Month

Permits

You can obtain sewer connection permits from the District by visiting our office in person.

Please call before you visit to ensure that you have all necessary information required to obtain your permits. Some basic things to know:

The District does not accept credit cards. All payments should be made by check, made payable to County Sanitation District No. 2-3. We do accept cash however, it must be exact amount as we do not have change.
A seperate building/plumbing permit is required from County of Santa Clara Building Division for all work to be done.
The District does not provide CCTV equipment for CCTV inspections. Property owner or contractor is responsible for supplying the camera.

Loan Program

On February 19, 2014 the Cupertino Sanitary District Board approved Resolution No. 1249 - A resolution approving guidelines for operation of the District's Sewer Lateral Program. The purpose of this program is to aid home and business owners in upgrading privately-owned sewer laterals and cleanouts within the Cupertino Sanitary District, thereby contributing to the physical, environmental and economic revitalization of the District.
